About Student Works Painting

The Painting Process

Preparation is the most important part of a painting project.

Correct surface preparation:

  • enhances the protection offered by the final coat of paint
  • extends the protection lifetime
  • over the lifetime of the building saves the home or business owner money
  • where necessary full area wash, depending on the build-up, either be power-washed or hosed down
  • scrape and sand all peeling paint areas
  • galvanized metal primer on all bare metal surfaces
  • TSP (Tri-Sodium Phosphate) or ‘green’ alternatives on dirt buildup or mildew areas
  • wire brush flaking and deteriorating stucco
  • stucco-patch large areas in stucco or wood filling of any holes in wood siding
  • caulk small cracks in stucco
  • caulk seams in fascia boards
  • putty (glaze) older windows

Makes sure Job is Done Right

Energetic, motivated, hard working proprietor making sure the job gets done right.

Excellent prep work, necessary on our 38 year old cedar siding house. Super job! “On time, on budget”.

We appreciated knowing when the workers were going to arrive, and they were always on time. She makes sure the job is done right and carefully inspects everything during the project.

Most important for us, she wants the job done well, not quickly. Amber is easy to communicate with, and is very accessible. She backs her project–both before the job is done and especially after it is completed. She does what she says she will do. What more can you ask for?

Respectful, Professional and Efficient

We had our entire interior of our 2 story house painted by Student Works. Riley gave us an accurate appraisal and product reviews with a very reasonable cost.

Crew arrived on time and started to work immediately. They were a pleasure to have in our home and honored our space during this time of COVID – 19. They were respectful, professional and efficient and willing to go the extra mile.

Love our new home!
